The Northeastern Pennsylvania Orchid Society is a group of enthusiasts who enjoy sharing knowledge and a love of orchids.
Our aim is to foster education, encourage appreciation and propagate interest in orchids through sponsoring meetings and shows that typify our core values:
The Northeastern Pennsylvania Orchid Society was formed in 1987. We are a mixture of all ages and backgrounds with one thing in common: the love of growing orchids. From the novice to those with decades of experience, all levels of expertise are exhibited within our membership.
Want to learn more about orchids and how to grow them? We invite you to visit our orchid society! We encourage new members to gain from our varied experience levels by participating in our meetings and partaking in our programs and discussions.
We love to share our wealth of knowledge using our group library and personal experiences. We encourage both expert and novice orchid hobbyists to join us.
We participate in outside activities and travel to shows and greenhouses. NEPOS members participate in regional orchid shows and fairs throughout northeastern Pennsylvania.
Just attend any meeting and fill out a simple membership form. You will be glad you joined!!
Yearly dues are $15.00 for an individual - $20.00 for a family. Membership renewal is due each January.
NEPOS meets at 1 p.m. on the first Sunday of most months. NEPOS meetings are informal and include showtable and voting, refreshments, and program. Bring in your stubborn or sick plants and we will help you find out "What's Wrong With This Plant?"
Guests are always welcome at any meeting.
